Mr Kadir is a very generous man. He called the soccer boys to bugis yesterday for a fine feast at seoul garden, all expenses paid. haha. so a few of us, geoffrey peiqian zhihao sootet adzfar(our golden monkey) and jieming were at RI to kick about for a while in the afternoon. actually we were just lazing around at the astroturf, then me and adzfar went all over the school in search for memorabilia..hehe, and there were good stuff too to be found, but need not be mentioned here. alas around 530, we took the train to bugis and met the rest. it was simply wonderful to indulge yourself into all kinds of tasty meats and at the end of the day, pay not a single cent.

woohoo, thank you mr kadir! and thank you soccer guys, cos its lik everyone played in the season except me, cos i chose rugby. (actually not really a bad choice, considering we brought back the title this year!) but next year, its gonna be a tougher time choosing, cos there are many exciting prospects. if i choose rugby, it'll be great cos i'll get more action and we'll be even more determined to win back our own trophy right where it belongs. but then, ac's gonna get a stronger set of new j1s next year compared to rj. so if i wanna choose soccer, it'll be great too, cos who knows? 1 gold for rugby's in the bag, how about 1 gold for soccer too? right? yeah but i hope in the friendlies that will come, mr low let me play striker, cos i really wanna try that position and see how good i am.. maybe i can displace geoffrey and if peiqian moves to left wing, haha there's a chance we'll our very own mat strike force next year! ahah adzfar power! come we talk in mat language and all the manjens wont understand.baik ah!

double golds today

Today at jurong east sports complex saw the culmination of a week's spree of finals. The badminton finals for both the boys and the girls were the penultimate championships for this term as RJC surged ahead of all other competitors and looks almost certain to proclaim itself the top sports school. Running true to script, both the boys and the girls won the badminton titles, retaining their own championships. the score was 3-0 (girls vs VJC) and 3-2 (boys vs a resilient TJC). The highlight of the day was the final singles match between Chuan Sheng and the TJ player, cos it was the decider and the winner takes home the title. it was nerve-wrecking to say the least. the TJ player fought back from a set down and from many many points down to win the second set. but our guy proved too hot to handle and he won the final set 15-3 comfortably. it was sweet sweet victory for Raffles, hurrah to the badminton team!

hey! that means out of 7 finals this week spanning from tennis on tue, hockey on thurs, badminton today and of coz rugby on wednesday, we won 5 of them! thats incredible, thats 5 golds and 2 silvers. So that means our gold medal tally so far stands at a staggering 11! Can we achieve more? I certainly hope so, what with swimming, track, sailing, judo and air-rifle yet to take place.

and after that, i went to eat at banquet jurong pt with 6d ppl. shit loads of ppl were there, and shit coz im broke. haha found my 20 cents change in the bandung cup, thankfully i didnt swallow the coin. :P hehe..

wad a day man...

everybody talked about not going school on thurs.. but in the end, more than half the team turned up, hanging out at the canteen. haha.. its so funny, cos everyone wanted to pon lessons. so we went upstairs, to third floor above the hall, and talked and talked and talked lik nobody's business, bcoz whatever, we won!

most of them went to lan at coro, but pravin firas kevin adil and me, we went to watch the day after tomorrow at lido. that was not bad man, quite good shit, but then i m broke now. we were almost late for the movie, cos the macs ppl took damn long to deliver my pancakes..sigh.. haha

then after movie, went swatch to fix my watch, went heeren to buy adil's gf's slippers, then slacked arnd at bk cine til joel louis called to tell us to buy choc-coated raisins for jingli. that bugger told us to buy from marks & spencer la. poor kevin had to foot the bill cos he's not so broke unlike us. then we went to delta for hockey finals.. hehe good stuff guys, unlucky la girls. but its okay. cos whatever, we won...

the hockey guys clinched the title yet again

its absolutely wonderful to see such a skillful and accomplished performance by the rjc hockey boys, who simply destroyed acjc on their way to clinch the hockey a div gold. there was purpose in every attack, swiftness in movement and almost telepathic passing on display. it all culminated to a really resounding 3-1 final scoreline that could have been more if not for unlucky near-misses.

enough abt the match, the hockey boys can definitely pay better homage and tribute to their match than one who doesnt understand half the umpire's calls.

hey but the great great thing was to see my mate, Jau, win the gold. NO.16. haha. power la mat. u waited for the gold for 4 long long years in ri, in rugby, but nothing came. the closest was that unforgettable 40-0 thrashing in the finals in sec2. hah but today, hey its the gold, mat. its the gold! baik ah! u chose to play hockey after all, after ditching hockey in sec1 for rugby. heh maybe its all meant to be this way. Mat, if u r reading this, i'm happy to say u r my mat brother. haha :) mat power!

also not to forget, Hafiz our kopi man, Rudy the pudydoody and Iylia-rman.. power la to all the mats, feeling good as champions eh? haha cant believe it that this year, we are all champions, we are all going for champions dinner dudez. power la, they must make sure its halal hahahaha:)

POLICE CUP 2004

hey!
nothing can be sweeter than this. 6-3 to rj at the death. never gonna believe this. it took some time for it to sink in.

at first, when i went to skoool in the afternoon after lunch, it started to drizzle a bit, so no choice had to take a cab. then bumped into junren's cab at the front porch. haha then marcus blackburn got us into itrr for a damn good session, we had video and had plenty of info abt gameplay and stuff

then, took the bus to PA. when we entered, we saw ac there oredi, all decked in their blue and 'gold'wateva.. ha then it started raining..wad the hell i bet a lot of ppl felt quite off. some were beginning to switch off, lik me.. but then tur-bo-ge tziyang told us his face in the mud story. i tell u, thats all that it took to psyche us up. haha. it was all power from there.. we put on our gear, warmed up lik mad dogs then cheered with all our might then we went on to the field.

from there on, heh no need to say.. our gameplan was superior man.. Marcus Blackburn was right all the way. he said that we have the better individuals and we play better collectively. at first i didnt believe him, but hey, damn it, its true. marcus is truly a genius.

this win was unbelievable. after 4 barren years, after getting whacked 40-0 in sec2, then not making even the semis in sec3n4, hah.. enough is enough. we lost to ac in sevens this yr. enough is enough.
i bet this win means so much to raffles, to the old boys, the juniors, especially to my team mates who are not playing anymore, guys like allen, jiawei, angwei, jialun, keith. no it means so much more to the 20plus guys who were out there on the pitch. its undescribable. its.....wateva.






i'm feeling like a champion now. thats cos i am..
