good`friday

I realized how wonderfully fun Friday is, despite having PW as last period. But it's still ok, since my class ends at 1230pm. It's like a Mat Day, a day when the mats finally get to have some time to do things together. No planning needed, absolutely none at all. It's all spontaneity. First and foremost, at 12plus thereabouts, we would just congregate at the canteen front tables and have our lunch together. Then we would take the short bus ride to the mosque together. That's when all hell of jokes break lose, stories of how the hell the past week have gone by, always twisted in some form that's usually hillarious and make someone looks stupid. The bus seems like a marketplace, sorry for the other commuters. Then its off to the prayers, together. After that, it's all random activities. I remembered last week, it was off to the movies after National Day celebration, where we watched The Village. This week, without any planning, it was a session at the weights room. Iylia and Hakeem are musklees, show us the way haha... See the mats do exercise too, we don't just relack one corner. :) Then, coz after weights, we were all bored, we just decided to play sepak takraw at LT 2.5, haha, and that was really fun because I managed to do 2 succesful lipats today. A lipat is like a spinning kick performed in mid-air. It's similar to a bicycle kick in soccer. Yup. Headers are so much easier in sepak takraw bcoz we are actually using quite a soft ball, but when Rudy brings the solid ball from home, then i guess it'll start getting more and more painful. Yup, my serve is also getting better, because they can't exactly return it easily. Seriously, anyone who's reading this, just come down on Friday afternoons, like around 4 or 5 like that, look for the Mats if you wanna join in a game of SepakTakraw! Then had some small dinner at Macs, Kevin Kong and Madan joined us. Haha that was funny too, coz we just laughed and laughed at our really cock up jokes. I think only our Mats will understand this eh?
Ahhhh....It's just wonderful when the Mats are around, we just simply feel stronger when we are together. It's really frustrating when you are either isolated, or when they are no Mats around you for you just chose to do something else that's different from the rest of the Mats. This close-knittedness that only the Mats can provide is irreplaceable, irrevocable. Hakeem..I only knew him like in March this year, but simply he is just like one of us now man, a mat. Hehe. Good stuff. I have always tried to keep the Mats close because our number in RJ is really small. Even then, there are some malay guys who just don't hang out with us. They do other things i guess, not their fault. Its just important to me that I ensure I don't lose touch with the malay guys cos I'm like always with people of other races during class, lecture, even cca. Oh well, its just important to me i guess. Things like this cannot play play. The mat-RI-x that we have established should live on. We must never betray each other. Cos everyone of you is my brother. :)

Rudy bring the Takraw ball!
Mats, Iylia propose that we play SepakTakraw every Friday afternoon. Set?

smash whoever comes my way...evade all touches...glory beckons :) smooth and sensible

baa`aaa

Tearing ankle ligaments is super painful. Don't wanna ever experience that. My poor friend Joel Leong is probably having a recurrence of his old injury back in sec3. I really think he tore his ligaments cos it looks bloody swollen. And cos of that he can't take part for his Arts Cheerleading tomorrow. Wahlau, cruel luck. :( Meaning he'll probably miss the tournament over the weekend. Unless the prognosis is good tomorrow, Joel joel... What a waste man. Being injured sucks. :(

Played pool today with Ronald cos the entire bloody class decided to 'v' us today for their physics notes. What the hell man. Outing to Sentosa...Cancelled! Not a single bloody class outing so far. My class can go home and mug, maybe a mug outing is what they want. Let's bloody organise one. A mugging trip to the library. 4 straight hours. No charge. Everyone can chip in their own bloody notes and university textbooks, cos i'm dead sure they are all ahead of average students who study university stuff at A-levels. Not enough? Let's visit a Uni Prof's house and discuss with him some shit i don't understand. And disproof some theories and all that. Sound like fun! Eat sh**...

Well done, 1S03B, you can eat sh**.

And it's really sh** that I lost my shoe above my locker.

holi`day

Pool! Yeap, that game has got me going again these past 2 days. After having some pool at night at Firas' house on saturday, went to play pool with the mats from my religious class on Sunday. Yeap, feeling good about it, but cannot think too much about it. Everytime i think too much about something, it somehow manages to make me perform badly. Really, whatever it is, this almost always happens. So, cannot think too much about something, just think about it periodically and that will do. :)
Dunno man whether there's training tomorrow, i hope not! Really! I've planned a class outing to Sentosa so I really hope that will materialise. Even though that group of them won't turn up, I still think that it's going to be worth it bcoz there won't be much more oppurtunity come the Promos. Hey yup hope everyone from 1S03B will turn up. :) Pray!
Oh and it's always important that we do not delay our prayers. Bcoz it only takes minutes to pray. Easy and simple. Try it. The more consistent you pray, the better you'll feel at the end of the day. At peace with yourself and feeling clean! Yup!

-shoot...Pravin just msged.. Training at 5pm tmr... :(

evaluation`6Aug

Gotta say that the MLDCS' SEPAKTAKRAW experiment is a success. There were quite a lot of ppl who could pick up how to play the game almost immediately, coz its super fun to play with. Now, with the red court at LT 2.5, if anyone wants to play SEPAKTAKRAW, just set up the nets, and inform me and I'll get the ball and play with you. Didn't know that a lot of ppl do find the sport interesting. The Mats are certainly up for it, even Raihan and Ahmad, who's seriously quite pro. Haha. Mr Kadir and Mr Francis Chong are pro too, very sly and cunning, lying almost all the time to try and get more points for themselves. Haha :P Kidding. Will be looking to buy a real spherical ball that can last too, the Takraw ball taht we used are quite fragile. What do u think of playing sepak takraw more often? Want or not? I say yes, on behalf of the mats. :) What say u?

yeemeng:`17thBday

Happy birthday Yeemeng! Since he's a manjen, its not going to be 'one year older, one inch longer'. Instead, its only going to be 'one year older, one mm longer' hehe. :p
Started the saturday with training in school. Thanks to the sun, i think mr blackburn didnt make us go all out until we are spent. One of the better trainings in days for me, thankfully. Then after taking my medicine, felt so drowsy on the way to Al-Azhar, where we had our lunch. Not all ruggers were there, but daryl dinesh khalrul joellouis jonyap and zonghan and me were. Had cheap and good food. Not bad, should do this more often. Didnt play pool with them, cos hadta go back to school for banner painting. Our new banner looks much much much better, simple and nice. Some artistic touches here and there by ronald jensen and jasmine and i think we are looking fine and dandy. IFG's starting on wed when school reopens after the long holiday break so I hope we are all ready for it. Medfac power! Then quickly rushed to my grandpa's house to wash off the stupid stubborn paint with thinner, watched a bit of try nations with him, haha. :) Sweet. Then went to firas's house for yee meng's birthday. played pool, watched tv, some cake thats all. simple. haha, then walked along the road for a while with Ther and then keith was very kind to give me a ride home. Aha the first saturday where i got to do so many different things all together.
Haha, feels good, but something tells me this cannot do very often, bcoz it means im putting off my work, which is very impt since RJ is full of brilliant people where we assume everyone to be good at something. Just like today, during banner painting, when we decided to have a break for a lil while, Jensen showed us how pro he is with the piano. He listened to this song on the earphones and played it almost immediately on the piano! How pro is that? He played 'A 1000 miles' by vanessa carlton at speeds i've never heard before. Crazy boy! Bloody talented. Next time, he should entertain the class more often, by playing the piano. So much talent ain't he? I dunno how to play any musical instrument at all, so i always admire those who can. Like Jensen. Like Derrick who can play the guitar, drums, what else...u name it. Kevin is pro at guitar too, he plays for his church i think. Haha, and of coz the Master Ashraf, truly the Santana of RJ. hehe :)
Music.. makes the people.. come together yeah!!

relack`1 corner

Got excuse from physical exercise for a week. :( bad, my throat, lungs..etc. The more i try to run, the less fit i get, in fact it's working against me. It becomes quite pointless to run. I think it's those things when u need to recover completely before u decide to do anything. Sure hope this new batch of medicine will work. Stronger cough mixture, plus some phlegm pills and anitbiotics. InsyaAllah I wanna return to training asap..!
Slept thru math lecture today, didn't wake up for a second. Felt quite drowsy la after taking the medicine. :(
National Day celebration is tomorrow. MLDCS is in charge of LT 2.5, which will be transformed into Kampung Glam. Haha i like the sound of the place, Kampung Glam, especially Glam, because it sounds glam. haha :) lol. Things to look out for: SEPAKTAKRAW, Keropok and Congkak. So bring all your friends over and come down to LT 2.5.
Jiawen and I were actually thinking about wearing something stupid yet symbolic for tomorrow since they let us wear anything red and white. haha, we were thinking of decorating our white uniforms with red plastic bags, then we'll look completely retarded. Haha, but we show that we're environmentally concsious, coz we are recycling the plastic bags and also water-proof ourselves in case of rain. Lol. Retarded lah :p

Hmm, MedFac and all the other Faculties got down to painting their banners today. Lt 2.5 was quite a mess. Hehe, but quite sad la, they said they could not finish the banner, MedFac seriously needs more artistes to come down and help out with banner painting. This Saturday, the MedFac Comm will be down to chiong with banner painting and we need all those ppl out there who have ideas on what designs and other stuff to come down and paint with us. So this is an appeal to all MedFac Ppl out there to come down this Sat and paint! IFG is coming up real soon, next week la, so we need as many banners as we can ready by next week. Alrightey? SET!

booyah!~~

up`date

Finally doing some meaningful tutorials has helped cleared up my mind. Now, Bio's my favourite subject (campbell makes a good read when u r bored), then its math (bcoz somehow or other playing with numbers help me think a lil harder) then its chemistry, coz it makes more sense than... physics--yuck yuck yuck. Eeewww peew peew peew, haha I sound stupid. Hmmm this week's gonna be super packed. Thursday, we'll entertain the Taiwan Immersion students for an hour or so for some wholesome Malay games and sing-along-songs as well as food!! Yeap, good food from Bengawan Solo i suppose.

Then, gotta attend the Metro-SIF meeting, coz I signed up on behalf of Malay Society. Hey guys, now that we've got this project, we don't need to channel so much energy and brainpower into coming up with super major CIP of our own. Heard that Joel Louis is also getting Ruggers to do the Metro-SIF CIP. Oh my, on that day itself, I must split myself into 3 man, what with MEDFAC also involved. Haha yeap! 3 Fairuzes on that day. Power. Gonna need some Mat magic for that to happen man.

Oh and on Friday, its like National Day Celebration which i think noone's gonna be bothered about. Haiya, these things happen. I think it's safe to say that for all who haven't tried their hands, or rather their feet, at SEPAKTAKRAW, now's the chance. A nice sexay court will be set up at LT 2.5 for a super SEPAKTAKRAW spectacle. Anyone can play. Its easy and fun. The ball is soft, no pain. Hehe relli :).

my friend left for HK oredi..oh my, hope she has a solid tournament! haha, she's pro la, maybe she might even win. oh that would really be sensational, then i would have met a champion in my life. haha yaya papaya :)
oh got some messages from my friend today after trng, after so long I haven't kept in touch with her. Sounds lik she's doing okay. That's good. maybe should go meet up or sth. its quite impt to keep in touch with friends rite? what if something happen to u and u are in need of help? certainly having friends will be useful rite? yup, shall plan that later. Now's time to...to...to...ummm...i think to do some chemistry tutorial? oh my, its getting quite late and im getting quite sleepy...zzzZZZzz :p haiya siam..

college`day

I was not punctual. Sorry guys. Reached school early enough still. Quickly got changed (helped teh guys wear the kain samping) and took down the kompangs, before we practised at the specs gal. Quite alright, then we waited by the bookshop before Abdullah Tarmugi arrived. The starter was damn off, i think we played the opening beat too fast so the basic beat was damn fast. But we got it right after a while, phew, b.neo from band said it sounded quite alright. oh hee well, not too bad for us beginners at kompang. The boys did well, well enough. Then we tucked in before everyone else did, at LT2.5, the mee siam was the onli alright food, the rest was yucky and tasteless. oh and quite suddenly, miss tan wen sze was like fighting with a raging flame la, somehow or other the canister holding the flame toppled or something until the table top caught fire. She was definitely quite traumatised. Soya bean to the rescue, the drink put out the flame man. :) then went home la, didnt go for police match, cos still feeling sick with taht sickening cough. haiyoh.. God please cure me soon, I wanna feel well again! Amin.

remuneration`~ i must recuperate

Wonder what's in store for us tomorrow at the Temasek Seminar at SAFTI. Heard that we are gonna get a tour then have lunch then the real talk begins before some fun and games? Not sure. But aiyah, seems bad timing bcoz i wanna do other things tomorrow but like this cannot already la. Bad Bad timing. Hope my O-Team interview turns out good, not sure though, this time it's different because i had different interviewers as compared to Open House Interview. This time, I've got Harold Khoo [my classmate in ri in sec 3 and 4 :)] ahah and Lynn, my friend from CCAL camp, plus Victor who was bumming around. Yup. They asked a few questions which i hope i answered as well as i could. Certainly was honest thru out. :)  Didnt know how to impress them in taht 1 minute. Ah its just so different from the other interview with Jialun, which instead turned out to be a heart to heart talk, mano to mano. Whoowee, then went for training. Fitness needs improvement and speed needs work on. Hearing stuff about going Thailand for a week's duration and playing three games there. Yeah thats fantastic. Finally some real good stuff, a ruggers trip after Sentosa this year. haha. Missed the meeting prior to training though, supposed to pay up for physio fee and return jersey. OH man, I really wanna keep the jersey! Its like the jersey which we won the Championship in la. Please let us keep it.! Result slip looks horrredous, expected it to look like that from the day i started to study for common test. Oh well, let's pull up our socks, and slog for the promos. May better results rain down on me. Just like how it rained at track finals. Rain rain rain. May on the day of exams, all the answers come into my head like the way the rain washed all of us away. Rain rain rain.

Track finals was crazy la, some real Mat stuff going on at the back really. No matter how heavy the rain was, we just kept trying new beats with the pails and the giant trash bin. haha. Even Izzat, our Mat Brother who's now a TJ councillor, came to cheer with us. haha Mat Power. Know what? Jau got a call from Jialun like around 1 plus to quickly come back to the stadium bcoz they wanted us to create some Mat Stuff at the stadium. Haha the councillors were power la, so resourceful. Hehe sadly the Rj turnout wasnt that great. Haha, nvm la, the mats did waht they have to do. HOi! Hoi!

sick`parrot

cough cough cough
cough cough cough
Have been having bad coughs these days, caught it from my brother i think. Not good. Bcoz there's training resuming, there's more spas to take, there's College Day to perform for, plus more things that i can't synapse to now. It's not nice being sick. Not nice. And evertime i feel sick, I'll go to my wardrobe to find my Raffles rugby jersey and wear them the whole day. If i've a cold, i would take the long-sleeve one. I'm wearing the traditional one now, with the no.15 behind. Okay, so gotta spend tmr night finishing up on Kinetics Tutorial and that MCQ List. Wonder whether my classmates have received their Result Slip already or not. Bcoz ppl from other classes have, wonder whether Ms Ho bothers to give it to our class at all. Haha. Oh yah, hope that Daryl's printer works fine, may use up quite a lot of his ink though, hope the poster turns out nice. Gotta find him tmr and thank him aha, then must get the poster chopped, then paste it on the doors of LT1. Tmr can't train man, feeling sick, prob will get on with the program or sit out training. Something.

yuck`how lo can u go?

had to brave the rain on the way to school today, the driving rain. really it's like the perfect weather to lie in bed and sleep 24-7. did some napfa and went walking about with my friend, lucky me i didn't bring a single cent. got paid for for everything. was so extremely sleepy and tired so slept all the way until now. oh shoot man, the bahas (malay debates) on tv, that's really frustrating frustrating frustrating!! it's so shallow, not much depth in knowledge processing, not much flair or style, poor judgment when stating their points of contentions, just plain 'ol malay style of emotional fighting. ergh. yuck. give me my team of hanis, hirman, nizam and iwan, i tell you we can beat these pretenders any time any day. these ppl on tv have a special ability to talk faster than the highways of germany, but without making much sense, what's the point? something is wrong with the rj people too, the moment i mentioned bahas to them, they just shy away. Why oh why is bahas treated like that? Is it so difficult? Come on lah guys, i tell you, we are in RJ for a reason, if you are not going to step up and be counted, then move off. I'll get the new crop of malay ppl next year to step up and be counted. Maybe even up to the stage of Caldecott Hill.

Time to get organised, time to get clean. No dirt no mess no frills. Just the real thing. Need rest need out. InsyaAllah.

riot of activities

non-stop activities have suddenly become a norm because i just cannot run away with it. time always flies by so quickly that the moment one activity ends, the next one comes by so quickly and so on. today was no different. yup morning we have normal lessons, but the moment pe finished at around 4, it was quickly on to weights, before i ran to take all the games down and help the minahs prepare the stuff for tmr, then played congkak with Janahan, haha thrashed him every single game. then played touch rugby, before finally going home. made a short detour to ulu pandan cc, and im glad to see the cheerleaders working their ass off to put up a real good performance. haha just two weeks left of 100% commitment guys and it will all be over. Hope that we win though! Cos their effort must be rewarded in one way or another. Hopefully it is by winning. Yay!
Waddup? ya tmr everyone listen up! Come down to the concourse to watch an electrifying performance by the MLDCS at around 1plus after your lessons. It'll be a cultural experience that most of the RJ fellas have never felt before!

Impt Announcement! All those performing for MLDCS, pls go to the concourse after your last lessons. Help carry the benches and musical instruments.

Impt Announcement 2! All those performing for College Day KOMPANG with MLDCS, pls meet at the hall by 2pm for a rehearsal session.

kompang power

Deafening and booming sounds were heard today, no not the cranky fire alarm bell, but the power of the kompang. I'm really glad those who came for the first time today like Derrick, Khalrul, Iylia and Adzfar caught the beat with ease. They learnt it in less than 30 mins la, after that we were all practising all the transitions from the opening to the normal to the closing. I think the main problem will be about sustaining the volume and the tempo, because after a few rounds, your hands will really start to ache. Each single smack of the kompang feels as though your bones in your arms will just shatter. But with practice and more practice, I really think we'll get used to it. Hope the other guys like Pravin and Firas will turn up for the practices as we get closer to the actual day itself. Yup, so guys out there, watch out for us the mat gang with a few manjens and mama come this College Day, 31st August. Cos it'll surely be like a wedding at the void deck. Woohoo!

Guys playing the basic beat: Ivan the pro, Khalrul, Dexuan, Pravin, Firas, and me.
Guys playing the complex beat: Jauhari, Hafiz, Adzfar, Iylia, Derrick, Rudy.

*testing, testing*
alright, let's just see how it looks, its plain but i think i like it. only tt i cant get rid of the dog, nvm la, pretend its not there.
this wednesday, remember to head down to the concourse at 1plus p.m. to catch a sexay sexay performance from mldcs! woohoo, yeah i think the gals and guys did practise really hard for this, given the short amount of time they have to prepare. And the mats will have something special for everyone come this wednesday, just u wait and see :) Mats, let's do it alright? One for all, all for one!

k tata

wobbly trot

What does one do if one doesn't get to play?
1. Beg the coach, use money to bribe him (that's outta the question, i'm damn poor, have no money!)
2. Work harder at trainings (but there's hardly training, only like once or twice a week!)
3. Choose a different club where I've played before (this seems good, cos this team's full of mats! haha sing song before matches, lol)
4. Try a totally different club (hope joel remember to help me on this)

anyway, tmr is Hafiz's birthday! yo Kopi, u'll be seventeen, older, richer and creamier! lol :)happy birthday mat~!

Went to Mak's Restaurant in Kembangan with my mummy's side today for dinner, i think it's my uncle's birthday. He had this thing early cos he needs to go india for a course or sth. Haha, India.. reminds me that the soccer guys will be there in year's end too, playing in freezing conditions, as Adz says it. Now that will probably be something like our NZ trip in Sec3, woah shiok know, playing rugby in winter, u play without getting ur jersey wet, so u can just reuse them for next training haha! Hope that we get to go on tour too, miss having those tours with ruggers! ah..

Hmmm, wad next? Oh went to pergas too, in the morning, had some simple lessons too, so easy u understand immediately. "Seorang hamba Allah bertanyakan Rasulullah s.a.w., secara ringkas sekali, apakah itu Islam?. Lalu Rasulullah pun berjawab, Islam itu adalah beriman kepada Allah, dan beristiqamah!" see, so simple, that single phrase covers already 2 integral aspects of Islam, the first is the Aqidah and the second, the Amaliyyah. Met up with the mats from pergas, haha they all still look the same, its very interesting talking to them because their concerns are actually quite different from ppl like me, they have very genuine and real concerns like finance (about how much they have to pay for this and that, their ezlink cards and stuff), their courses at poly, and of course, this one cannot miss, their minahs (explanation not required). haha. okie doks. should go to sleep now, bcoz school will be quite a long day tmr, hope tt i'll last it. Yeha smiles everyone and dun forget to forgive :)

first club training

::Had my first taste of club rugby training today, at SPE, with the Wanderers RFC Team, where our coach Marcus Blackburn is playing. Golly, started off with Will Greenwood (Yes! The Englang world cup centre!) pushing us off with FEET!FEET!FEET!FEET! and short bursts..then had small drills of passing.. then went to do backline moves with good gosh, the Premier team! aiyoh, didn't expect it at all. Dunno whether i get the chance to play, hopefully i do, so that its not considered a waste of time me coming down in the evening for training. Need to get back myy fitness though. More running will do the trick perhaps, but not just running running, but running when i'm playing, like touch or soccer or whatever. Yup. Time to sleep, still gotta go to school tomorrow, gonna watch the remainder of GATTACA(this is actually a DNA base sequence!) during GP. Still have to do PW! Right, see you soon...::

dubidoo

::RJ won swim golds for both boys and girls! Met my juniors too!Yippee. Track is coming, hopefully the colour remains gold! haha. Today there was nat'l U19 rugby training, looks like I'll just kiv that cos right now i'm hard pressed for time (Then What the hell am i doing online?).. Lol. Tmr there's Wanderers club rugby training, yup I'm certainly going for that one! Yah!

For Racial Harmony Day, there will be a CONGKAK CHAMPIONSHIP, at the concourse. Round 1 begins on Tuesday 20 July. Since we probably have very little time, we are going to accomodate 16 participants in the championship. Please sign up at the MLDCS Notice Board at LT 2.5 ya? Can do so from Friday onwards.

For those who are not sure how to play the game, here's how: The Congkak board consists of two rows of seven houses (or pits) and a home (score pit) for each player. To begin, each of the houses contains seven seeds (or balls, pebbles). To start play, the player chooses one house from which to "sow" the seeds. Each seed in the house is then placed, one at a time, into the successive houses, including the player's Home, moving clockwise around the board. Seeds placed in a Home are points for that player. Seeds are not sown in the opponent's Home. If the last seed in a play is placed in the player's own Home, they get another turn. If the last seed is placed in an empty house on their own side of the board, then they Capture the seeds in the opposite (their opponent's) house. All captured seeds, as well as the capturing piece, are placed in the player's Home. The game ends when all of the pits on one side of the board are empty. The player with seeds remaining gets to put them into their Home. The winner is the player with the most seeds. easy? yup of cos.

Also take your time off and head down to the concourse at around 1.1o or 1.20 on Wednesday to catch a DIKIR BARAT Performance by the MLDCS and friends! See you there!::

RUGBY! I'M BACK

I've had many a sleepless night, When all that I thought were right, Actually they only blurred my sight, 15 men minus one, what a terrible plight.

After consideration and remuneration, I guess it's time to take action, Little by little, I could see a vision, Of us lifting the trophy, in front of the nation.

That cannot happen, unless there are fifteen, If one chooses to quit, there goes the machine.

For having been brothers on and off the pitch, Now I've got back this really swelling itch. For so long have they been my brothers, I won't ditch, Who else to replace me, to complete the final stitch?

With the new crop that enters the school, They will act so cool, but they're just playing a fool. With other teams having a wider talent pool, Its up to our batch to provide the tool.

Soccer had been a wonderful experience, I hope they take this with a lot of patience. Your day of glory will come into reckoning. Just work hard at it, be unassuming. Stick to the plan, play with your heart, Champions you will be, you certainly look the part.

Its gonna be my final year, what the heck, For Rugby, I'm here to tell you that I'm back! For rugby it'll be a tough hurdle, The year we'll defend our first title, We'll scrap at every bits and pieces, So the crowd keeps filling up the terraces, What an experience it's going to be, To bring glory to RAFLLES RUGBY!

club rugby anyone?

time to grit my teeth and push hard

::good gosh what do I have in front of me. Now that CommonTest is raelly over, we are hearing ppl talking about promos, its really coming, we have around 10 weeks to prepare, so gotta brace myself to ace myself.

moving on, we have IFG coming up soon. That means more work for MedFac. Today was the first session for the host of dancers that medfac have, plus the brave low yingliang. I think they enjoyed themselves, learning some basic steps from the Minah trainer. haha :) Hadri can't believe how small her skirts ah, and when she squatted down, God knows what he saw underneath. yuck. Had to plead the Joel Louis, Pravin and Zach to join with me. Aiyah, die man, I think i'll really have no time. Not only will I have to practise the routines and what not, then there's still Racial harmony day as well as College Day to practise for, for MLDCS. As for now, Dikir Barat will be on Thurs and Fri after school. Kompang will be on Sat. Suwee, Lynn, Ther will get quite pissed if I don't join cheerleading. Ivan says that one must try cheerleading at least once in his lifetime! How? Got time or not? What else, oh still have to do publicity for MedFac Movie outing on 6Aug. As in the preparations for it la. Then before all that, must set up booth for Racial Harmony Day, like games and posters etc. Hmmm, oh still have PW to do, the contents pages, will photocopy for you guys, don't worry. And must settle class admin, like class funds and class photos.

sunday fun!

::woowhee, what a sunday! After a rather miserable saturday wasted at Deyi Sec for that tarian competition, when we had lotsa fun wearing make-up!! And had lotof fun dancing, coz we all thought, we danced as perfectly as we could. But sayang, unfortunately, the judges weren't impressed, maybe its because our instructor came from a different school of thought (in malay dance sense) as the judges, so we didn't take home any prizes. Oh how I wished we had been one of the winners yesterday, the winner took home whopping $500 cash la! PLus sexy individual trophies! Nvm, a chance gone begging. Yup, was so sad that i had no mood to go for medfac meeting too. Sorry guys. Was too emotionally drained :( ~ Dinner was urgh too, poor service, poor food, poor portions... Yuck :( was still hungry after dinner.

But anw, Sunday was good. Skipped madrasah to go for this talk at Masjid Sultan Auditorium, which went extremely well. The speaker was this excellent motivational speaker from Malaysia, and the talk was about dispelling the myth about lazy Malays. In fact, Malays can be hardworking, but more often than not, they are inconsistent. They are seasoners. They do not have the commitment or dedication to pursue something all they way. I loved it! Cannot share with you the details of the talk. As in, i get after-life points if I share with you any form of knowledge that is benefitting, but time doesn't permit. Sorry, PW is just too important to ignore. Went looking for long pants after that, glad that I've found one that i really like. Yup. And found a pair of berms too. Must find jeans though. Later la, when I have more money.

Excerpts from the Talk by Dato' Dr. Mohd Fadzillah Kamsar:

"Competition is actually a form of misguided concept. Muslims have to bear in mind that whatever is given to them comes from Allah. They already have their own portion that is pre-determined by Allah. It is pointless therefore to 'compete' for other's portion. We should focus instead on getting as much as we can from our own portion."

Any queries? feel free to approach moi! :)

bad day

venue: RJC Field
Match: Soccer Testimonial Match for J2s

J1s 3-1 J2s
(Pravin x3, Raihan)
Line up: Kaixiang (Mark), Adzfar, Wei Fan, Kin Yip, Chun Yat, Soo Tet, Zhi Hao, Peiqian, Geoffrey, Pravin, Fairuz.

The day was totally screwed up. I put my shampoo and other toiletries in my shoebag cos there was no space in my bag. I didn't realise that one of the soap bottles were not capped properly til i touched my boots and they felt soapy.

Nevermind, so we played soccer at around 5.30pm. As usual, both sides were tentative with the ball, especially with slippery conditions due to the rain. Both sides kept giving away possession away but the J2s had more verve in their attacking and the way they pass the ball was sweet. They had Raihan as guest winger today, while we had Pravin as our guest striker.

Towards the middle of the first half, with neither sides really threatening the goals, we got the ball from our own half and a few quick passes set me down the left flank. I was through on goal, behind their last man. Appeals for offside were in vain. One-on-one with the keeper, I sidefooted the ball into the path of Pravin, who smashed the ball into the empty net. 1-0 to the J1s! Hah we showed them who were more serious today.

Before they could regroup, our constant hassle (to the extent of Junxi having to warn the J1s about 'protection...A'Levels!' haha) brought their defence under pressure. Jieming's attempted clearance was intercepted by my first-time header into Pravin's path. Looking up to sneak a peek, he coolly struck a fierce drive that went in at the far post, past Shengxiang who probably didn't expect anything like that. Yay 2-0 to J1s.

The J2s clearly stepped up a gear after that. Their midfield of Adil, Renji, Uncle Heng, Jasmeet, Raihan and Junxi were having a ball of a time laying passes to each other. One of such moves resulted in a string of corners awarded to them, which we miserably fail to clear. Renji broke through a few weak challenges down the left channel before squaring a perfect low cross which was met with a thumping typical Raihanic shot the bulged the net. 2-1, with J1s still leading at the break.

J2s picked up where they left off with some wonderful display of great passing. But certainly their finishing was not their greatest asset. We sat back for most of the second half, except for a handful of surges in counter attacks. I got only one shot in the entire match, a lob by Geoffrey over Amos put me into space behind their defence. But the bouncing ball seemed too hot to handle, as my left foot half volley sail high over the rugby post (which would have counted for 3 points in rugby!).

Peiqian hassled Adil in the J2's half, winning the ball and rolling it to me. Seeing that Pravin was in a more advanced position, I squared it to him, who took just one or two steps before blasting the ball into the net, past the stranded David Lee Dong Hoon Kimchi. 3-1 to J1s, and everyone began to cruise after that.

So, this game breaks my scoring streak. What a shame.

Areas of my game that needs improvement:
1. Controlling high balls on the run: bcoz this will help me to take the ball past the defenders if the ball given to me is short.
2. Taking up more central positions: bcoz often the midfielders have noone to pass to the centre bcoz i drift wide very often. I should offer myself as a target man more readily.

Then after the match, during tarian, I totally smashed my plate to pieces during the flick move. Noone ever broke theirs into such fine bits before la. haiya, when I got home, there were not enough pails to soak all my dirty clothes. The day when everything went bad... :(

plan

:: Had a good talk with Mr. Low today after school, even though he kept me waiting for around 30mins. It's good to hear that whatever points I've acumulated this year won't get erased even if i make the switch to soccer. It's totally a personal choice. I've spoken to many soccer guys, especially Adzfar, Mat Hao, Peiqian, who's been really patient with me. I've felt so bad for abandoning them in year one, for this year's season, after having played with them for the matches. Now, it's going to be quite a rollercoaster. Nothing has been confirmed. I need to urgently speak to My Kadir, Mr Batchelor, the 2 rugby teacher I/Cs regarding this decision to switch to soccer. I really hope that the teachers understand. I also think it's best that I talk to Mr Blackburn, my coach, because I need to inform him that I wish to play soccer, so I don't disrupt any of his plans anymore. I really think I am already disupting his plans by choosing soccer, just like what my teammates have been telling me. The chance to defend the gold doesn't come often, especially for us the bunch of players who have suffered quite badly in our respective secondary schools. It still excites me to play rugby, but I really think i've achieved my objective of playing rugby, and that was to win the damn old Police Cup. Now the chance to defend it, but I'm refusing to take it? How? I've spoken to some teammates already, like Luneh, Pravin, Firas, joel leong, zach... Of course they want me to stay. Junren told me 'mat, u better don't quit.' It's very heartwarming to hear how much it means for us to stay together as a team. For we have been teammates for almost 5 seasons already. I still find it hard to leave them. They tell me it's going to be hard to find someone else to play in your position, and that I should be playing fullback cos it suits the team best for our running style of rugby, and that next year the batch that comes in isn't as strong as the ones that came in this year, that is my batch. It's really going to take a lot out of me to leave them but I really don't want to miss this oppurtunity to pursue something which I've kept inside of me for so long. After my rugby season was over in Sec4, albeit prematurely, I've told myself that that's it for rugby. Let's pursue something else. So i looked to soccer. Little did i realise that soccer by itself won't guarantee me my cca points. It's not a totally core cca. So people like Pravin especially told me to come for rugby training, especially with the new coach Mr Blackburn who had just come in. I enjoyed training a hell lot, and the company that the ruggers provided me, can't substitute that for anything else in the world man. But it saddens me even more when I was told, that i had to choose between rugby and soccer bcoz rjc doens't practise a student playing multi-sports anymore, except for exceptions. So i chose rugby bcoz i believed that we had the better chance of winning. In the end we won gold and I was over the moon. But it still saddens me to see the soccer boys go out so narrowly in the second round to mjc. How i wish i could make the difference. How i wish i could, so now after the rugby gold, i think i have a real chance. I really believe in the friends that I have in soccer, Zhihao Adzfar Peiqian SooTet KinYip and the rest, that we shall train hard and work hard to get to where we want. If we want the championship, there is no other way but to work hard and play even harder. Euro2004 was an inspiration. (This was just like Rugby World Cup in NOv,Dec 2003 which inspired me to continue Rugby in J1) So NOw is the time....

Guys, I love you a lot. You all are like brothers to me. I hope you all understand. Long live Raffles Rugby!

Now's the time for soccer. You were all there when Rugby won the gold. Now's the time to emulate that kind of success. Raffles Forever!

ili sleepover

ili's house was fantastic. the barbecue had great bites. the company superb. but the sad thing is, the football let us down. quite a bore wasn't it? not much end-to-end stuff. few goalmouth action. nevertheless, whatever, Greece won. we hardly slept there, until like after the match, when most of us woke up around ten plus. people were like playing need for speed underground with her brother in the wee hours of the morning la. haha typical of any sleepover. that was a crazy mat gathering :)

rjc 3-0 ex-acjc

venue: Bukit Timah Field
match: RJC 3-0 ex-ACJC
weather: extremely sunny at first, light drizzle in the end

line-up: Fairuz Chang Wen
Geoffrey Peiqian Zhihao Soo Tet
Renji Kin Yip Adzfar
Jieming
ShengXiang (gk)

We were there much earlier than their team, because after goodness knows how long we haven't played, we can't wait any more.

So we kicked off at around 1pm, under the blistering sun, with the old buncit ref. Peiqian is cock la, he said to us 'u better dun try anything stupid with this ref, cos he sent me off before'. haha :p Everything was quite even in the first half, not many scoring chances and space was pretty tight. But I think we started more brightly, with nice passes into space on both flanks. We tried slotting through balls, but couldn't find space in between their defenders, who were both strong on the ground and in the air. I tried drifting wide to collect the passes but everytime I tried to burn them, they could match my pace or I tapped the ball too far forward. Overall our defence was okay, but still a bit shaky at times.

There was one scoring chance for me which went begging. A mixed up in defence forced a weak clearance into my path. I was on the right corner of the 6yard box. I tried to find the top left corner, but the ball ballooned wide for a throw in! Wasted chance.

Second half was much better, especially due to the drizzle. We felt more amped up, and attacked vigorously down either flanks. We threw in crosses after crosses after they seriously threatened our goal with a menacing drive just outside the penalty area, which our 'keeper managed to brilliantly tip over the bar. One of such crosses forced them to concede (or rather conceive) a corner. Soo Tet curled a superb floater which the 'keeper flapped at before the ball trickled into the net. 1-0 to RJ!

Obviously that goal lifted our game to a higher notch. Another surging run down the right wing after great work by Adzfar saw Soo Tet tumbling. He took the freekick to area C, supposedly, but the ball went straight into the top left corner. 2-0 to RJ!

I didn't feel as good playing this match as the recent few matches. Maybe its bcoz of the socks, the white junior socks. I couldn't find as much space as I would like. And my runs weren't as penetrative as before.

Peiqian had a good game supporting the attack with his neat passes and flicks, along with Geoffrey always releasing me into space. Zhi Hao worked like hell in the centre, breaking up their play to feed us with the ball. Another combination play saw Soo Tet having a clear sight of goal, his shot for his hat-trick was so powerful that the keeper couldn't hold onto it. The ball dropped under his body and I was first to it, so i toe-poked it into the empty net. Yay! 3-0 to RJ! Surely they can't catch up now.

Areas that I need improvements in:
1. Handling with crosses: either taking shots or headers, or to set up a teammate.
2. Crossing: because i may free myself on the flanks, but i need to locate my teammates well with good crosses.
3. Shooting: more power and accuracy with my shots, means learning the correct techniques and postures.

Overall, we played quite well, and are definitely looking forward to more games under our belt.

Personal Goal Tally: 4 goals in 3 games.

ablution is over

.Haha finally, my personal ablution from the Net is over, conciding with the end of CTs. Good gosh the amount of marks that I've already lost, they just flow like water from a burst pipe, teachers are probably having a whee good time setting new world records marking my scripts! :p

.And CT week was mad too. The routine of the day would be waking up really early to take bus to school, then do some last minute revision at spexgal then rushing to hall to fail my paper. Then quickly take train home, to read newspaper on Euro updates before lulling myself to loooooonnnnnnngggg naps. Haha will try to revise after that, but end up eating instead or getting distracted by Euro on tv. Nights are meant for us to rest and get some sleep, but were spent watching Euro. Once a mat, always a mat.

.Today was CPS's movie outing: SPIDERMAN 2. wohoho! It was awesome man, I love all the web-slinging action and the subtle tenderness surrounding Peter Parker beneath it all. Sam Raimi deserves all the millions that this movie is raking in right now. Go catch it at a cinema near you! Shoots I forgot what i wanted to say. :p hehe, oh Doc Ock has real menacing tentacles and Jimmy Jamison was quite hillarious. "Everyone needs a hero..." -Aunt May.

.I had a good time with the Mats today and Ili and Yus. Really good to catch up with them after the CTs. Ili gave me this keychain from Johor with my name FAIRUZ in front and these at the back:
"Bererti Batu Permata.
(Hijau Kebiruan)
Memiliki kelebihan, menarik dan sentiasa menjadi perhatian.
Cekal hati, tetap pendirian dan tidak mudah dipengaruhi.
Disenangi teman-teman."

How true! Ask your malay friends what it means. :)

euro fever

::It's been three successive morning since my bro and I tinkered with the TV antenna and shifted our dining room TV into our room, for a glorious viewing of Euro2004, stolen direct from our Malaysian channel counterparts. No matter how sandy the screen was, or how often it flickered from black and white to colour and back to monochrome, the moments when Rooney staked his claim to 2 wonderful scalps against the Croatians or when Van Nistelrooy restored Dutch pride with 2 instinct-driven goals or even the sweet exit of La Italia were never missed. That old antenna, after a quick soldering job done by daddy, has served us well for its duration. The red-bean bun (5 of it) that I stuffed down my throat in utter hunger provided merely a fringe respite. It was that old antenna, circular, frayed and near rusty, that provided my satisfaction. It was my window to the euro. It was good.::

::And tonight, it's Portugal vs England, surely one not to be missed. Portugal have the backing of the home support, whilst England have an equally unequivocal brand of fans, tithering on the brink of hooligans should England lose. It sure is titillating to watch Luis Figo's exuberant dribbles down one flank and Cristiano Ronaldo exhibiting sheer youth and millions of step-overs down the other. With Deco's twinkle toes in the middle, Portugal's strike force is certainly one not to be messed with. But do not discount England, with a blooming blend of muscle and pace with Wayne Rooney (YEAH ROONEYMANIA is here!) upfront, backed up by the dogged and always willing Paul Scholes. Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard have built up a solid pair of runners in midfield to boost England's engine, and with David Beckham and Michael Owen still yet to shine, England sure has some serious firepower. Will the name of the game be latin Portuguese flair tonight? Or will it be the indomitable spirit of the English bulldogs that triumph? Let's stop mugging, sleep early and watch the match live at 2.35am.::

pbm²r² meeting no.1

::Finally got down to our first meeting as our club that we affectionately call PBM²R² (Persatuan Budaya Melayu Maktab Rendah Raffles) or M&M Club (Mat & Minah Club), our manjen friends still only know us as MLDCS (yuck, so rigid sounding).
Achieved a lot of things during meeting. Took actually less than 2 hours but really have got to thank everyone who turned up despite their busy mugging schedule. Thanks guys, you did great today, looking forward to more responsiveness in the future! :)
Can't show the details here can I? What if other malay clubs see? cannot... Need more working on first.
That's it for now, gonna have to quickly get down to learning how Krebs Cycle works, there's still oxidative phosphorylation to come in respiration. See u soon ppl::

Miss Ho: I wonder how did you people pass your PSLE..! You are all ill-disciplined! Just like writing poetry, you must know how to start and end. You guys are so slow in getting down to work. Especially your class! haiiiiiiiii.....

last match of U20 youth league

venue: YCK Stadium
Match: Police SA vs Blacks RFC
my position: fullback

Golly, didn't even feel like playing, was sleeping all the way from Buena Vista to YCK in the train, bcoz i was stupid to have watched a stupid match between Italy and Sweden at 3am.

Thought that i was late, but the match got a bit postponed bcoz Blacks didn't bring their jerseys, so had to wait and wait, til the match was called off, we got a walkover. Nvm, since we were all there, might as well play.

So we played, and quite easily we dominated the match. Our forward pack was instrumental as they won almost every single ruck. From a left-field lineout, we swung the ball wide, using Mahadi as a dummy crasher. After 2 draw and pass, the ball reached me, inside the opponent 22m area, and quite easily tucked the ball in and headed for the try line, despite close attention by the opposit fullback. haha, my first ever try of this league! Yay. Gus converted the kick.

After that, our superb rucking and offloading won us many balls, which we chose to run and found many holes in the opponent's porous backline.

Soon in the second half, we got a scrum in the opponent's 22m area. Gus called for a double dummy straight to fullback and that move totally left the opponent dumbfounded. As Zainul skipped through the 2 dummies, I latched onto the ball flat-on, and sprinted to the empty try line. Haha, my second try of the game. Yay! After that, some more of our guys notched points in as Gus continued to show an impressive boot.

That was quite something, coz the day started with me not even having any feeling of playing. Nvm, played as well as I could, then watched a bit of the CombinedSchs vs Safsa match, which honestly was quite a bore. Pravin was unlucky with his second kick as it hit the post. Good try mate. Dunno whether i wanna play in the Police Inter-Division Sevens or the National Inter-Club League. Coz I'd rather play soccer!

:)
2 tries baby

doctor's team

venue: PUB Recreation Club Field
match: Geoffrey's Father's Doctors Team(i played for them) vs Dunnowho~
my position: striker

Mummy wasn't at all too happy that I took this time to play soccer instead of revising for my flailing hopes of attaining any form of a result for Common Test. But I couldn't resist the sheer temptation of playing, so off I went.

Bumped into Charlene along Braddell, haha, she was from PW meeting in school. Stupid me dunno that 93 goes to PUBRC.

Adzfar and Geoffrey were already there, and we all wore the same socks! haha weird. First action of the match; Adzfar went on a quick charge down the right, tapped the ball into space for me to send a cross on the edge of the area for no.11 to notch a powerful header to the back of the net. 1-0 to Doctors team.

Second action of match; Renji looked up and sent a through ball down the left channel, intended for no.11 but I got there first. I rounded one defender, pulled the ball wide left onto the byeline and stroked the ball square. The ball hit the 'keeper's leg and was deflected into goal. Yay 2-0!

Third action of match; Phillip our outstanding central midfielder sent a chip down the middle to me. I side tapped the ball into Geoffrey's path first time, for him to beat his marker and smash the ball low and hard into the bottom corner. woohoo...!

...somemore guys scored...we were totally in control...

Adzfar's action of the match; a good outswinging corner was valiantly punched out by the keeper but the ball went straight to Adzfar who headed the ball powerfully into the empty net. His debut goal! haha

we went on to win 9-1, with Geoffrey grabbing a second with a cheeky back-heel into the empty net after the keeper failed to hold onto a cross.

things that need improvement: 1. positioning, bcoz most of the time i find myself drifting wide right and hence playing provider instead of being the target man. 2. offloading, bcoz i haven't made all the right choices and need to assess my options faster.

looking forward to more

slowing down

~finally got down to doing Project Work. I bet we are the slowest group in RJ, our proposal is still under construction. Thankfully when HPF saw us, she accepted the topic and even said that 'frankly, I find myself living witht the lifestyle that might contribute to what you guys are doing on for this project'. ah, nvm, its still relieving to know that we are on the right track. :) Next up, we must touch up our proposal, so that we can submit it to her on monday, then we can have a good session for conferencing when hong yong comes back late next week. yup. :)

Jasmine

announcing the new Vice Captain of MedFac 2004/05...

JASMINE HO

*warm warm round of applause* *woohoo* *whistles*

it was actually a very tough decision to make, as explained by Pam and C.J., cos everyone (Jensen, Shimin, Kevin and Jasmine)was in with a very split vote. But in the end, Jasmine got it.

what's important is not the position, but the effort that you put in to make a difference to the faculty. yes? yes.

faction camp part 2

continuation of FACTION CAMP

Wash up! haha and everyone was made to change to their Jaxoras t-shirt. there was some time given for faculty sharing session within their own dorms, which was really quite productive bcoz we came up with a lotta good stuff that looks shiok-ingly nice to implement. MedFac you'll see what'll happen la.

After that, DINNER! Chicken rice la (yuck x2). Then oh we had to construct a structure that should be as massive as possible using only 4 wooden poles, rafia strings, newspapers, tapes and toilet rolls. Guess what, we made this COCCOON monster that won! haha MEDFac ROX la..! engine built a dinosaur, CPS created Shrek and Arts created Abstract Art, which was so funny when it came to them describing their structure. "We shouldn't tell u more, cos if not, we would be limiting your imagination,"Janahan. haha so funny.

then we were told to sleep, bcoz "you are going to wake up in the morning!~"Eugene Chiam. So we slept la, sharing my sleeping bag with poor Madan cos he didnt bring his. I bet no one knew that while in my sarong in the room when all the light were closed, i took off my pants inside cos i wanted to feel more airy. haha only madan knows. hehe :)

wahlau basket, at 1 am they woke us up. cannot make it. but wahlau it was a damn good game la. we had to carry our structure around, collecting ammo which was water bombs collected in pails or plastic bags, carry our flag and make sure no one got kidnapped. the other half of our fac was supposed to guard our dorm, keep our candles lighted. powerla. so my group(Jasmine, Kev, Junnan, Whui and ShenYe) went travelling first. The first floorball challenge was siao, so difficult, could only make 3 out of 6 flicks. Kev got one in. then aiyah moved on to the place behind the labs where jasmine was hoisted high and tall to reach for the yellow sticks. then i had to climb on kev's shoulders to reach higher sticks. sigh, i think i sprained my ankle on my fall. played transfer the water game... then switch over.

wahkau, kevin tried sneaking to blow CPS candles out but got whacked by the chairs they put outside. but i thot he succeeded so i quickly tried to whack engine's candles. but i was too slow to notice haynes in stealth mode. i threw a bomb, then was too confused so i tried blowing out the light stick! stupid! got caught by Vikas, but kevin came to my rescue, rather madly too though. hehe :P sorry engine.

but arts was funniest. kevin and me could lie down in the bush garden for like 3 hours and they still dont know we were there. i was supposed to create confusion by bombing the area infront of their dorm, but my bomb accidentally put out their candle altogether. kevin managed to blow the other candle. hehe, eugene was quite pissed. sorry arts :(

then dunno wad dunno wad... oh i know, poor Pamela our outgoing facCapt was fast asleep in our dorm, SNORING!!! hahaha, she must be super damn tired. should have recorded her snores, but too bad, had no hp with us.

FREE FOR ALL was next. damn bao li, cos everyone got wet, got whacked and got wheezed off by Terence. MEDFac won again, despite all 3 faculties teaming up against us. MedFac Rox!

then change up, sleep a bit, then morning run, breakfast, powder game, toothpaste game and then sharing session by ACME, last words, pack up, dismiss!

---can't say enough---

faction camp

event: FACTION CAMP
venue: school, where else u cockanathan
date: tue morning to wed afternoon
satisFaction: yeah, definitely

screwed up, i didnt woke up late, but i was late bcoz my dad chose to take his time at home, sipping his coffee first before we left, so i was late. hmmm bad first impression :( but nvm.

the first activity was about completing tasks so as to gain access to our dorms for the camp. We had ppl getting blind (Madan, Anand B, Jasmine, Jensen), mute (Dex, Kev, Shen Ye, Shimin) and deaf ( Whui2, Junnan and me). As usual, we completed our tasks quickly and efficiently, not just resting on our numerical advantage. haha we won the charade playoff against gutsy ArtsFac for the best dorm which was room 1.1 & 1.2 (supposedly the bestest rooms, but we don't disagree). MedFac Rox!

shoot, can't exactly remember what happened next. darn i have poor memory. this is the exact result of insufficient sleep lar. think that we played some games la, cant remember, but MedFac was powerful. hmmm, had nasi lemak (yuck) for lunch. then played some game i think in the netball court, i think its the hold chair thingy. sigh, lame lame game. but engine was smart, came up with an easy method to hold chair, yada, then engine and medfac both won ribbons. by this time, medfac was leading followed by engine. think cps and arts still had zero ribbons, not sure la.

but the next activity was the bestest. cos its FLOORBALL! at first, engine beat us 2-0. i couldn't get the hang of it. and king kenneth had powerful shots, yinshan was imperial at the back along with haynes and ah foo was impregnable in goal. so, we moved on to playing arts, this time i started the match and moved madan to centre. madan was powerful cos he controlled the match with skilled dribbles which ended up in one goal. another one of his dribbles ended up in my path and i stroked it into goal. that was it man. hon lyn played me a nice pass, which i managed to hook into goal. woohoo. MedFac 3-0 Arts.

Next game was CPS. haha rudy was powerla, sexay dribbles up and down. but another sexier gelek by madan found me unmarked in the centre for me to stroke it home, lefthand. 1-0 to MedFac was how it ended, putting us to finals. Engine played CPS in a playoff which CPS won to pit them against us in finals.

it was very tight as both teams didn't want to concede any goals. but some technical discrepancy which was highly contestable caused MedFac to be awarded a penalty shoot-out. So i hesitantly agreed to take it, cos its against Ajay the giant! Whui whui damn smart, told me to fake fake the shot, so i shot high into top left corner, GOAL! that's how it stayed. MEDFAC r champions again! woohooo, MedFac ROx cos we gave Arts one ribbon after that.

tbc... :)
MEDFAC ROX!!

Adzfar's hse

went to adzfar's house on sunday, had to scrub all my dirty clothes first if not my mummy wont let me go.

saw the police rugby mats at bt batok mrt, dunno la where they are going.

was first at adz hse, waited for the rest who were like slogs. went to mega pool with adzfar izzat rudy and hafiz(tj) but darn it rudy didnt bring his ic. cock la he. so he had to cab back to adz's hse to retrieve it, when adz's sis thought that rudy was a thief who tried to break into his hse. haha so comical. finally got down to playing, damn it im rusty already la, sure kena whack by anyone.

then bought loadsa foodstuff at parkway cold storage, all set icecream party at night. then came back for a dinner feast. there were pasta, pizza and dunno what.. suddenly there was this slug that was slogging on my foot. YUX!!! its totally disgusting la, slimy and wet. luckily it was at the end of dinner. sigh..the disadvantage of having dinner at the outdoor verandah.

watched WILLIAM WALLACE of Braveheart on tv, watched Australia vs Scotland rugby, and wwe wrestling.. sigh we watched everything including the bore Swiss vs Crotia match. finally it was englaaand versus france! ALLEZ LES BLEUS! stupid beckham, i think even geoffrey lee could convert that penalty. pires was magical la. scholes also. rooney was impressive. owen sucks. heskey should die and david james should just eat grass. gerrard can now kill himself. zidane will fly, as in literally, fly in the next match, cos he masters every single trick in the book. Zinedine zen zidane! whoo..now im finally home after going back to school for a while in ili's car. so funny, its cramped at the back, all five of us me adz izzat hafiz and rudy horizontal. ahha.

busking@orchard

BUSKING@orchard

boohoohoo. straight after ccal camp, no rest, no lunch and no sleep, we had to go straight to Orchard Road to busk. Dexuan was the one who asked me whether i wanted to help, hey its fun, as it had been last yr, so i gamely said yes and got the MATS to do the same. whooosh~

so with my heavy canterbury personalised bag, we trudged around at the concourse, waiting for everyone like Shawn and the Mats who just finished hockey trng. hopped into some cab and went straight to wisma atria.

nothing had started yet, so we went to grab a quick Chicken Fillet each. then we came back and the real thing started. dance dance baby :) to the beat of klf by 3 am. is it? i dunno. oh we also danced butterfly. whoosh~!

but the real crowd-puller, surely, had to be the DIKIR BARAT that the RJ & RI Mats came up with. plus our 2 manjens derrick and shawn of coz. with no trainings whatsoever, we just went thru a few moves, and started the partay at orchard. camera flashes everywhere, and money came pouring in like rain. haha (thats a bit exaggerated)..

Thank you loads to all the RJ people who went down to town, even though they also havent had the time to rest and relax and have proper lunches with their family back home. Straight after ccal camp la, these ppl are power la. jasmine, amanda, dexter, lynn, jialun, quijun, wanlin, err hu else ah? pau, yus and ili were there too..sorry cant remember all who turned up :p

busked til around 6.00pm and then off we went to change out of our wet and smelly shirts to go to Far East, Magic Wok to have dinner. rudy, ili, adzfar, iylia, jau and izzat were there with me. haha really had a ball of a time laughing our stomachs out.

woh then went home to really soak all my dirty clothes. before i could watch Greece 2-1 Portugal. Boohoo, cock la portugal.

really want to say thanks to the people who got me involved in this. Namely Dexuan and Derrick, with whom i always practised with even during CCAL Camp. Then there's the scouts ppl, lik Shawn and heng liang and others, who could dance like nobody's business and of cos, nothing is fun without the mats! whoosh~! Thanks to those who came down too!

CCAL Camp

CCAL camp was amazingly fun. Weird how that sounds, but ya really, it was quite a good camp. The people from High Achievers Learning Centre really planned it well such that we got on to their energy.
The participants of the camp were the real people who made it all worthwhile. Here's a tribute to the members of my team, D'Best!

Members of team D'Best:
Jonathan Foo a.k.a Ah Foo
Qui Jun
Junnan
Marcus
Bo Xian
Chun Yat
Ching Yau
Weihan
Yinshan
Ching Cheng
Weihan
Kevin
Wilbur
Karen
Wanlin
Zhao Yi
Monish
Wan Hua
Lynn
Si Yuan
Xinyi
Chee Hang

You people made my camp worthwhile. Thank you! :)

it's quite funny how we came up with our team name, it was from the stamp pad that we saw D'Best, so we just used it. haha, quite funny. i really liked the candle game, cos it required a lot of strategy and everyone had his or her own ideas and it would be superb had we been able to mish-mash everyone's ideas into one. haha. nvm, not bad. too much lecture though, notenough action! nvm, see you guys around in school. be sure to say hi and smile!

Don't leave it to chance. At times, we can't decide what our next step should be. A little guide could make all the difference.

wheeee~

venue: Yio Chu Kang Stadium
match: Police SA vs Combined Sch
line-up: dunno, but i'm fullback

it was a weird match, cos i don't wanna play today. bcos i'm quite sian oredi. and it was raining somemore, so its cold and i'l get dirty and stuff..but nvm, play la, if not the police team not enough players.

the moment i entered, i saw a lot of the raffles ruggers playing for combined sch. there were Junren, Daryl, Sherman, Joel Leong, Joel Louis, Justin Lam, Pravin, Firas, Alvin Tan and David. Woh that's 2/3 of our first team! ahah and i'm the only loser who plays for police. the rest of combined sch was made up of AC and SA players, but that's expected la.

so we kicked off. First Half was good. Bcos we held them back and they couldnt penetrate our defence much. that's bcoz our tackling spoils their rhythm and our scrum half Kaveh Namazie had a fun game disrupting Sugi's passes off the scrum. Our open flank Nasir also had a wonderful game, nipping balls off their own lineouts.

so the score stood at 0-0 at half time, neither side creating any real chance.

but the second half was a different story altogether. we gave away silly penalties as our forwards' lack of fitness showed as the game wore on. One penalty was duly converted by AC fullback Daniel Chia and from then on, we seem to switch off. one quick tap by Justin saw him squeezing past 3 players to score on the line after passive resistance by our backline. then in quick succession, david lee, who had just came on, kicked his way ala soccer star to the try tine only for his jersey to be pulled before he tapped the ball down. Penalty try to combined sch. the culprit? me, who else.

so in the final play, we decided to run the line straight from our try line. asrie straight out to bevin to abu sufian and to me. i couldn't run away so i passed to zainul who managed to wriggle free from his opposite winger. he ran brilliantly and passed wide left to me, overlapping on the outside and i managed to gain around 30m. then as alvin was too close to handle, i tried a chipped, which went over the fullback but he managed to clear the ball out before i could touch him.

so it ended, 15-0. whatever...

amacam? still don't believe?

venue: Marina South Field 2
time: 5.00pm
match: RJ J1s vs Renji's Ah Peks
line-up: Kaixiang(gk), JosephLing(rb), KinYip(df), WeiFan(df), ChunYat(lb), Soo Tet(rm), Zhihao(cm), Geoffrey(cm), MarkEio(lm), Adzfar(st), Fairuz(st)

followed adzfar to queensway to buy his new boots. It looks marvellous, a Nike Total 90 III grade A replica. together with his total 90 nike shin pads (thank you ILI!!!) haha, he sure looks ready for a place in the strike force! No more right back for you lah mat. Play striker with me.

All of us (both teams lah dey) met up at marina bay mrt, looking shagged after god knows what. Me and Adz were shagged cos we had Busking practice in the morning followed by tarian right after that. NVM, for the love of the game, we turned up!

our captain Zhihao tried to plan some tactics, with everyone trying to have a say in which position they wanna play at. First time ever, our team fielded 2 Mat strikers. This is possible bcoz Peiqian was sick (I presume), so YAY for me.

We began the game brilliantly, pressuring the AhPeks defence with our mean pace, especially Adzfar down the centre and Soo Tet on the right wing. Captain Zhihao and V-Capt Geoffrey got so much of the ball in the middle that we enjoyed frequeny forays all over the opponent half. There were plenty of close shaves, with Adzfar wasting 3 clear chances, which we ballooned into the deadened sky of marina south.

then came Adil, the only Mat in the AhPek's team, and slowly as we tire, the AhPeks grabbed control of the game. There were several shots on target by their no.7 striker as well as Uncle Heng who missed just wide, but our keeper had quite a commanding game.

so the score stood at 0-0 at half-time.

the second half begun with the Ahpeks dominating, and it was only a matter of time before they took the lead through Uncle heng, who showed a true striker's calibre by sidefooting the ball wide off our keeper Kaixiang. Their lead lasted just 5 mins, as we managed to grab a free kick down the left. Soo Tet crossed a wonderful floater and Adzfar headed it towards goal, Pang Hao tried to clear his own keeper's head so the ball rebounded straight into my path, and of course, it bulged the back of the net.

Uncle Heng scored a simlar second minutes later, only for the lead to widen even further after Marcus Au scored a brilliant goal, beating Kaixiang stylishly.

In the dying seconds, soo tet foraged into the ahpek's half, and sent a wonderful through ball over the left-back's head, putting me clear on goal, one on one against shengxiang. and I slotted the ball beyond his reach.

so the final score stands at 3-2 to the Ahpeks.

so amacam? want me to play striker? hehehe.. cos FARU wants it The no.9 jersey is mine.

wooosh..~!

ADZFAR'S BIRTHDAY IS TMR! 6 JUN!

hey first week of hols seems wasted, cos its meant for studying i think, but i havent been doing anything, didnt touch a single book, or read up on any notes. Havent been doing any tutorials either these past 5 months, so i guess, i'll just die for CT.

gonna get changed and pack my stuff, cos i'll be off to yck stadium soon, playing at around 7.30pm i think. hmm, what should i bring? boots, slippers, shorts, t-shirt, socks, change of clothes, soap and shampoo, and undies! yup, seems like everything's in place. all check.

i'm all alone at home, and bored, cos i have nothing to do right now. today is the singapore idol audition thingy too, haha i wonder how our eventual Singapore idol will look like. what if he's a bangla? or a filipino maid? hehe cos foreigners are allowed to enter competitions nowadays. haha whatever la, it doesn't bother me too much.

F50 or Total 90 III?

hrms, nothing much left to say now, so till next time... :)

jb on vesak day

happy vesak day!

oh Miss Australia is truly a stunning beauty, she looks the part when she wore that honourable crown stuffed with 800 diamonds or sth likdat. Hehe, i wanna marry someone as chio as her. :P

eeks.. was in johor since tuesday after tarian (tarian is malay dance). Saw so many ppl in school during tarian, dunno what camp they were having la, but looks like everyone were tired of camp and just wanted to chill. shoots, i forgot my tarian moves. aiyah abang ram will help us like always. oh and i heard about the party thingum on monday, when everything smelled like puke and piss. woh, power..wonder what its like.. hehe whatever la. Be a proud Muslim and don't drink! yup. :)

....too bad Edwin had something up today, if not i'd be in sch now doing PW, cos our proposal's not done yet, and we're dead cos Steph's in Italia and HongYong's in M'sia. HPF will come after us I'm sure.

i can't wait to watch Euro2004, watch the likes of Zidane, Henry, Totti run riot with their magic and flair. Its the skills! I wanna watch the skills! i don't root for any team. I have no favourites. Its the technique, no matter if its a croat, or a bulgarian or a swiss player. oh i heard croatian coach allows his players to have sex before games. hehe and the 1970 brazil coach allowed his players to have sex too before their games, and in 1970, brazil won the world cup! hmmm but the coach said something about "not more than one change of woman per week".. who does he think he is? Hugh Hefner the playboy founder? Thats not the way to treat a lady...

going back to johor later tonight. staying over there til like saturday i think. yup. gonna try to study i guess cos theres noting else to do over there. so see ya guys :)

i have to register for NS by 18 June. pls remind me before i forget...

TOUCH!

hey y'all!

anyone knows when the M1 National inter-school touch is happening? and is RJ gonna take part? urgh... tell me!!!!!

[can't wait]

first day of holidays!

what a day!

first of all i started doing my physics circular motion tutorial (dunno since when i found the urge to do tut :P) and it was a breeze. little did i realise that circular motion will not be tested for the coming common test!! and common test is exactly what the june hols is for.. (i'm sure!).. cos experts and psychologists believe that the school holiday should be maximised by not even touching anything related to school work. that definitely is not what rj believes in.sigh =( ..

...yup so aft that, decided to file my things, cos its all in a mess, and you can't seem to concentrate when you wanna study if all your materials are in a mess, at least thats what i believe in, and thats what i've been doing these past few years, always organize my files first, then study what i wanna study. so it took me around 3 hours to complete filing my maths, chem, physics and bio stuff. i realised i have only done 2 out of 8 bio tutorials and i also have ronald's chem mass spectometry tutorial with me.. haha gonna deposit it in his locker today..

yupperz.. then prayed asar and left for police academy. bus 985 is relli fast! yeah! hah then wahlau the entire police team is mats la, they are all crazy mats, big fat crazy mats. sigh. and guess who's the manager? selamat! shit la, confirm kena whack in the games. but wateva la, just play. so this sat theres a game against safsa, at yio chu kang at 5 i think. eeee i hate that field, brings back haunting memories. aniwaes, once i reached home, i was just sian and too tired to do any work, so talked on the phone for a while and then off to slumberland! ahaha

school hols has just begun, but thats not it. its the start of mugging period cos common test is just around the corner! ...
